PESHAWAR: After the completion of trials process of the Pakistan Disabled Cricket Association (PDCA) in all 16 affiliated regions, the Inter-region National Twenty20 Disabled Cricket Championship will be organised in December this year, either in Islamabad or Rawalpindi.

PDCA secretary Amiruddin Ansari announced this while talking to APP here on Sunday.

He said they organised the trials in Peshawar where 20 disabled cricketers had been short-listed, adding similar trials had been planned in all 16 affiliated regions so that deserving players would be provided a chance to come up at national and international levels.

Soon after completion of the trials in all 16 regions, the dates for holding the All-Pakistan National T20 Inter-region Disabled Cricket Championship would be announced, the PDCA secretary added.

“We had earlier planned to hold the event in Islamabad or Rawalpindi but due to unavailability of grounds we have decided to complete the trials process,” Amiruddin said, adding that the trials for disabled cricketers of Multan and Bhawalpur regions would be organised from Nov 26.
