Superhero and comic book fans are a breed apart. They live, breath, eat and sleep the fictional stories and characters they are so obsessed about. In My Brother Is A Superhero by David Solomons, Luke is one such superhero fan, in fact he is a walking encyclopaedia on superheroes.

Imagine his horror when he finds that his geeky brother Zack, who has no clue what superheroes are, becomes a superhero after a chance encounter with an alien! Zack has been tasked by the alien to save the world, but the only problem is that they don’t have a clue about the special super powers Zack possesses, so he doesn’t know how to use them!

So Luke steps in to help him because Zack, despite his new superhero status as ‘Star Guy’, has no clue what it all entails and can’t seem to save himself from being kidnapped by the super villain Nemesis. Luke, with the help of his friends, needs to find Zack in order to save him and the world too! So they are the super guys, though without superpowers!

The story generates humour out of the situations and Luke’s obsession with superheroes, without making fun of the whole super hero concept. There are many references that comic books fans will easily relate to and enjoy.

My Brother Is A Superhero is an action packed, page-turner that kids will easily enjoy.
