PESHAWAR: The provincial chapter of Institute of Architects of Pakistan (IAP) will hold third edition of annual three-day international conference on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor here on November 17.

The announcement was made by IAP provincial chairman Mansoor Ahmad Khan at a news conference here on Monday. He said that Institute of Architects of Pakistan Exhibition (IAPEX), a mega event, was organised regularly for the last three years in the province wherein professionals from parts of the country and abroad were invited.

The forthcoming conference, Mr Khan said, would be regarding CPEC that would consist of various sessions. The conference will be inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor while chief minister would be chief guest at the closing ceremony.

Mr Khan said that building material and technology exhibition would also be part of the conference. Besides, he said, the president of Arch Asian Organisation, provincial additional chief secretary, representatives of Chinese embassy in Islamabad, district nazim of Peshawar, director general Peshawar Development Authority and renowned architects from Karachi, Lahore and other parts of the country would also participate in the event.

He said that experts would present research papers at the conference to highlight significance of CPEC. He said that a three-day training workshop would be organised on sideline of the conference for the selected students from across the country.
