KASUR/SAHIWAL: Police detained more activists of Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan under the Maintenance of Public Order in Kasur and Sahiwal for blocking roads on Sunday.

Kasur police booked 319 clerics and workers during the last 24 hours for blocking Multan road and Ferozpur road to protest the arrest of their leader Allama Khadim Hussain Rizvi.

Pattoki police registered a case against 162 protesters, including 112 nominated Mustafabad police registered a case against 167 accused including 17 nominated.

Sahiwal police did not allow TLP activists to hold protest and block traffic on the national highway near 20-Morr.

During the last 36 hours Sahiwal police detained 40 TLP workers and office-bearers and shifted them to unknown places.

Similarly, Pakpattan and Okara police detained 31 people for creating a law and order situation.
