TOBA TEK SINGH: Two men died and 25 others were injured in road accidents caused allegedly due to heavy smog in various parts of the province on Saturday.

Gojra city police said Eastern Federal Union insurance company officer Henry Sajjad Masih was on his way to his village on Gojra-Toba road when his car collided head on with a truck coming from the opposite direction.

Muhammad Asif of Chak 552-GB Faisalabad was on his way to Kamalia on Kamalia-Chichawatni road along with two relatives when a car hit his motorcycle due to heavy smog near Khan Da Chak. Asif died instantly while the relatives were injured critically and admitted to Kamalia THQ hospital.

CHINIOT: A bus carrying passengers from Lahore to Chiniot early in the morning steered off the road and turned over due to smog, as the driver allegedly could not see the road near Lahore bypass. Sixteen passengers were injured.

KASUR: A student died while five others were injured in two separate accidents on Halla Road.

A tractor trolley hit a motorcycle from the rear side in front of a petrol pump amid dense smog, leaving class VIII student Ali Haider dead on the spot while Nazir Ahmed suffered serious injuries.

While the motorcycle and victims were lying on the road, a rickshaw carrying students overturned in a bid to avoid them. All four students inside suffered injuries and were taken to THQ hospital.
