KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Pakistan today is more secure and peaceful and is the best country in the region for investment and entrepreneurs ought to take full advantage of the situation.

Inaugurating the four-day Pakistan International Trade Fair at Karachi Expo Centre (PITF) on Thursday, Mr Mamnoon said that the participation of 20 countries in the fair is manifestation of the confidence of global community on Pakistan.

The PITF was organised after a gap of 23 years by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The president appreciated the local business community for being steadfast in difficult times. “You are being provided with a series of opportunities through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC),” the President said, adding that had opened a vista of prosperity for the entire region.

He also advised the local traders to follow international rules of business so as to boldly face the fast-emerging global challenges.

Felicitating the organisers of the trade fair, he hoped the event would contribute in further strengthening of the national economy.
