People’s issues

Published October 19, 2017

WE hear about massive Indian shelling across the Line of Control resulting in martyrdom and injuries to the people. This situation is a great threat to the integrity and sovereignty of our nation.

But our politicians do not bother about it because it doesn’t affect Nawaz Sharif or Imran Khan. TV channels have talk shows where politicians act ridiculously and hurl vitriol at each other. Were these public representatives elected for this?

Whatever is happening to Mr Sharif or his family is not the nation’s concern. If he thinks it is, it is of his own making.

Does he want to know the nation’s issues? These issues are deaths because of shelling by India, rising poverty, decreasing job opportunities for the youth and poor healthcare and education.

People are least bothered who rules the country. What people do know is these politicians are servants of the nation and should serve it.
