MARDAN: A man shot dead his brother and his two sons over a petty dispute in Thurbatay area here on Monday.

The victims were identified as Saifullah, 55 and his sons, Zahoor, 28, and Naveed, 23.

Officials at Par Hoti police station quoted widow of Saifullah as saying that the accused, Murad and his son Rafiq, exchanged harsh words with her husband and sons over parking of their tractor-trolley in the middle of their joint street a few minutes before occurrence of the killing incident.

She said the accused rushed to their house and brought out a Kalashnikov and opened indiscriminate fire over her husband and sons killing them on the spot.

The police officials registered FIR against the accused on the complaint of the widow of slain Saifullah and began making efforts to arrest the accused who had made their escape good soon after the triple murder.
