KARACHI: Seven horses will battle it out for glory in The Karachi Cup which is slated to take place in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Saturday.

The cup, a scale order V race to be contested over four-and-a-half furlongs, is the third in day’s racing order.

Meanwhile, a mediocre four race card has been drawn for the day’s races.

Al together, 26 horses have been entered in four races and will vie for honours barring last-minute withdrawal.

Two horses — Day Breaker and Sweet One — will make their debut in the first race that will go over four furlongs.

The fourth and concluding race which is also the day’s feature event, top combined scale order I, II, III and IV to be run over four-and-a-half furlongs, has attracted eight horses.

According to the schedule, the first race starts at 3.30pm.

THE KARACHI CUP SCALE ORDER V 4 ½ F:

Don Again 9-0, Sher Khan 8-11, Snow White 8-9, Satisfy 8-8, New Hope 8-5, Popular Pride 8-4, Ayaash 7-13.
