DADU: Former chief minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi led a rally of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf workers and supporters on Friday in the run-up to the party’s October 22 show in Sehwan. PTI chairman Imran Khan, senior vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi, secretary general Jahangir Tareen, former federal minister Sardar Yar Mohammed Rind, as well as Mr Jatoi and several other senior leaders, will address the participants.

The rally passed through various streets of Sehwan, Bhan Syedabad and Khudabad to mobilise supporters.

Mr Jatoi also chaired a meeting in Sehwan to finalise arrangements for the public rally. It was attended by several party leaders from Sindh and Balochistan, besides Sardar Rind, Ashiq Zounr, Karim Ali Jatoi, Mehboob Loond and Dr Bandah Ali Leghari.

The meeting decided to furnish the public meeting venue — part of a 50-acre piece of land within the constituency of Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah — with around 100,000 chairs.

Speaking to reporters, Mr Jatoi said the Oct 22 event would be yet another “mammoth PTI show” in Sindh and would add more vigour to the party’s powerful struggle against corruption and corrupt elements within political forces.
