QUETTA: A man has appealed to the chief justice of Pakistan, chief of the army staff, chief minister of Balochistan and inspector general of the Frontier Corps (FC) to take notice of disappearance of his brother and help in his recovery.

Addressing a press conference, Naimatullah of Dalbandin said that on Aug 30, an official of the FC took his brother Hafizullah from the house of Haji Wali Muhammad in Dalbandin and since then whereabouts of his brother were not known.

However, after sometime an FC official contacted the family and demanded Rs6.8 million for the release of Hafizullah, he said. The family handed over the amount to him after borrowing it from relatives and friends, he said, adding that the official promised that his brother would reach home within 10 days but he didn’t.

The family after passage of two weeks contacted the same official who demanded another Rs5m, Naimatullah said. The family informed the FC Commandant in Dalbandin who immediately took notice by ordering arrest of the FC official. The official on interrogation revealed of handing over Hafizullah to another man, Muhammad Saqib.
