LAHORE, Jan 5: People’s Party leaders and workers enthusiastically celebrated the 74th birth anniversary of the PPP founding chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto by cutting cakes at dozens of places in the Punjab capital and eulogizing his services to the country.

The main ceremony was held at the Faisal Town office of the party where Punjab president Qasim Zia, former secretary-general Sheikh Rafiq Ahmad and a number of other office-bearers and workers were present.

They paid tributes to the late Bhutto for giving a constitution to the country and initiating atomic programme which ultimately culminated into Pakistan assuming the status of a nuclear power.
