PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Tuesday ordered the second major reshuffle of provincial bureaucracy in less than a week wherein 42 officers, including administrative secretaries, commissioners and deputy commissioners, were transferred.

The provincial establishment department notified the transfers and postings of two administrative secretaries, two divisional commissioners and 13 deputy commissioners.

Earlier on Sept 27, as many as 37 senior officials, including administrative secretaries, were reshuffled in the first administrative shakeup since the appointment of Mohammad Azam Khan as KP chief secretary.

According to the notification, Ahmad Hanif Orakzai, who is BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) and working as secretary relief, settlement and rehabilitation (RSR) department, has been transferred and directed to report to the establishment department.

Zahir Shah, (PAS BS-19), additional secretary establishment department, has been transferred and posted secretary RSR, while commissioner Malakand division, Usman Gul(PAS BS-20), has been made officer on special duty. Secretary mines department Zahirul Islam Shah – a BS-20 officer of the Provincial Management Service (PMS) – has been transferred and posted commissioner Malakand.

Commissioner Kohat (PCS, BS-20) Musarrat Hussain has been transferred and posted secretary Benevolent Fund, while Mutahir Zeb (PCS BS-20), special secretary health, was transferred and posted as commissioner Kohat. Syed Mohammad Shah, DG Mines KP (PCS BS-20), has been transferred and posted as secretary mines and mineral department, while he would hold the additional charge of DG mines.

Deputy commissioner, Chitral, Shahab Hamid Yousafzai (PCS BS-19), has been transferred and appointed director general PERRA, while Irshad Sodhar (PAS BS-18) awaiting posting has been posted as DC Chitral. DC Shangla, Abdul Kabeer Khan (PMS BS-18), has been made OSD and secretary-II Board of Revenue Abdul Hameed (PMS BS-18) posted as DC Shangla.

DC Malakand, Zafar Ali Shah (PMS BS-18) was made OSD and in his place PSO to chief secretary Salman Khan Lodhi(PAS BS-18) posted as deputy commissioner Malakand.

DC Charsadda, Tahir Zaffar Abbasi (PAS BS-18), has been made director ESRU, while Muntazir Khan (PCS BS-19), project director Higher Education Department, has been transferred and posted as DC Charsadda.

DC Kohat Akmal Khan has been transferred and posted as deputy secretary home department, while DG Post Crisis Need Assessment Khalid Ilyas( PMS BS-19) has been appointed DC Kohat.

DC Hangu, Mr Ihsanullah (PCS BS-19), has been made OSD and in his place deputy secretary home department Shahid Mehmood (PAS BS-18) appointed DC Hangu. DC Bannu, Fazle Akbar (PAS BS-18), has been transferred and posted as deputy secretary RSR department, while deputy secretary administration department Ali Asghar (PAS BS-18), has been posted as DC Bannu.

Additional IG prisons Fayyaz Ali Shah has been posted as DC Haripur in place of Tasleem Khan who was transferred and posted additional secretary housing department. DC Mansehra Shahrukh Ali has been transferred and posted deputy secretary finance department, while chief economist Planning and Development Department (P&D) Ayaz Khan was appointed DC Mansehra.

DC Battagram Asad Haroon has been transferred and posted as deputy director ESRU, while director human rights Mohammad Saqlain posted as DC Battagaram.

Fazl Khaliq, awaiting posting, has been posted as DC Tank in place of Barkatullah who was posted as additional secretary RSR department. DC Upper Kohistan Mohammad Asif has been transferred and posted as additional secretary industries department and ADC Torghar Shah Jehan transferred and posted as DC Upper Kohistan.

Deputy secretary environment department Farhatullah Marwat has been transferred and posted as DC of the new district of Pallas Kohistan. Khurshid Alam, section chief at the P&D, has been transferred and posted as PSO to the KP chief secretary.
