HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Anti-Terrorism Court on Tuesday granted another seven-day police remand of two alleged killers of Tania Khaskheli, who was shot dead allegedly by one of the suspects in her home for her parents’ refusal to marry her to him.

Additional IGP Aftab Pathan, who has been assigned the investigation, has formed an inquiry team to collect facts while IGP A.D. Khowaja is personally supervising the investigation under an order of the Sindh High Court.

The AIG’s inquiry team is headed by Inspector Siraj Lashari with Inspector Mohammad Shafique and Farooq Qadir Lakhair being its other members.

Tania Khaskheli was murdered on Sept 7 in the Jhangara-Bajara town of Sehwan taluka allegedly by Khan Nohani, an influential figure of the area, after failing to convince her parents on his marriage. The other suspect remanded in police custody is Maula Bux alias Mouloo, who was arrested in Dureji, Balochistan.
