SUKKUR: A double murder case was registered at the Mauladad police station of Jacobabad against the brother of the victim woman and his uncle three days after she and her alleged lover were shot dead in the name of honour in Jani Dero Jagir.

On Saturday, police had picked up Dango Jakhrani along with his son Shaukat Jakhrani for allegedly killing his daughter, Fareeda Marri, wife of Naseebullah Marri, and Qalandar Bukhsh Jagirani, on suspicion of having an extramarital affair.

However, the FIR (No.56/2017) was registered on behalf of state on Tuesday against Shaukat and his uncle, Abdul Raheem. Shaukat remained in police custody while a hunt for Raheem was under way.
