ISLAMABAD, Aug 20: Four mountaineering teams have successfully scaled the Gasharbrum-I, Gasharbrum-II, (8068m), Broad Peak (8047m) and other peaks in the Karakuram range in Northern Areas.

The Kazakistan International Expedition, led by Zhumayev Maxut, scaled the 8035-meter Broad Peak; the Italian team, led by Benet Romano, summitted Gasharbrum-I, the 8068-metre Gasharbrum-II, and the 8047m Broad Peak; the Czech Republic ATP team, led by Martin Minarik, scaled Broad Peak and the Spanish International expedition sumitted GB-II.—PPI
