Freecycle

Verb (with object)

Definition: Give away (something used or unwanted), as opposed to selling it or throwing it away, especially in an arrangement made via the internet.

Examples: “I freecycled all the household furniture left over from moving house.”

“The fridge can be freecycled.”

“Freecycling saves resources.”

Origin: Early 21st century: blend of free and recycle, from Freecycle, the proprietary name of an online service.
