KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan on Wednesday extended the date for subsidy on export of wheat and its products to Oct 31.

The SBP, through a circular to the authorised dealers (banks), said that subsidy on export of wheat and its products (flour, fine atta, suji and maida) will be allowed till Aug 31, to those exporters who have lifted the wheat from godowns of the food departments of their respective provinces prior to March 15.

Earlier, the Economic Coordi­nation Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension in period for export of wheat and its products till Aug 31.

The exporters were advised to approach the SBP through their authorised dealers to claim the subsidy by Oct 31.
