FAISALABAD, Aug 18: Newspapers will be distributed in the district after 10am from Tuesday (today) till the arrest of the ‘trader’ and his accomplices, who thrashed an Akhbar Farosh Union office-bearer and his sons on Sunday.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting, presided over by union president Muhammad Amin, at the press club here on Monday.

Haji Ishaq and his sons were at their stall near Clock Tower intersection when Nisar Butt, Sarfraz Butt, Shahbaz Butt and their dozen accomplices came there and started beating them.

The participants were informed that the unions’ office-bearers from all over Pakistan had assured cooperation in this regard. It demanded immediate arrest of the suspects.

Haji Ishaq and his sons also tore newspapers and magazines, and destroyed the stall. Rail Bazaar police registered a case against Nisar Butt, Sarfraz Butt, and Shahbaz Butt on the report of Haji Ishaq.
