ISLAMABAD, Aug 17: A Pakistan Muslim League-Q delegation, comprising senior party leaders and MPAs from Balochistan, held on Sunday its first round of talks with party President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on party’s organisational matters.

They also apprised him about the intensifying differences with the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) in the coalition government.

Later, the delegation also had a luncheon meeting with Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali and discussed with him matters relating to the development projects undertaken by the federal government in the province, a member of the delegation told Dawn.

The delegation, which is here to vent its grievances against what it views to be unacceptable attitude of the MMA ministers in the provincial coalition government, discussed with the PML-Q chief ways and means to strengthen the party in the province.

The delegation is said to have impressed upon the party chief that if the MMA refused to share the powers and responsibilities of the government with its senior coalition partners then other political alternatives be considered to make the coalition a genuinely PML-Q-led setup.

The second round of talks will be held on Monday.
