I-11, I-12 yet to be developed

Published August 16, 2003

ISLAMABAD, Aug 15: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has failed to develop sector I-11 and I-12 which had to be developed for government employees a decade ago.

Both the sectors have not been developed due to negligence and ignorance of the CDA, causing inconvenience to those who had purchased the land, some of the affected land owners told Dawn.

They said Afghan kutchi abadi was the main hindrance in development of sector I-11, but despite removal of this settlement, the authority had failed to develop the area.

Most of the plots in sector I-11, they said, were allotted to the CDA employees, but even then the authority was paying no heed to provide relief to its own employees.

The affected people said the development of sector I-8 started after development process was initiated in sector I-11. However, sector I-8 is entirely developed, while sector I-11 is still under developed.
