Hussain stars for Lahore Blues

LAHORE, Jan 4: Former Test slow left-armer Mohammad Hussain claimed a match haul of 10 for 133 to help defending  champions Lahore Blues crush Lahore Whites by an innings and 18 runs in Quaid-i-Azam Trophy fixture at LCCA Ground Friday.

The Whites collapsed dramatically on an eventful third day having resumed at 220 for five in their first innings. They lost the remaining five wickets for the addition of just 16 runs with Hussain taking six for 94 in 26.3 overs.

Forced to follow-on, the Whites capitulated for a meagre 141 in their second knock. Hussain picking up four for 39.

Only Shahnawaz was able to bat with any conviction as he contributed 43 off 71 balls.
