LONDON: To mark the world-wide launching of the political autobiography “Friends Not Masters”, by President Ayub Khan, its publishers are holding a reception at their Head Office in London on Sept 1.

Among the prominent guests who will attend the Oxford University Press reception is Mr S.K. Dehlavi, the Pakistan High Commissioner.

The publishers of the President’s autobiography expect it to evoke interest throughout the world. President Ayub’s views on international power balance are particularly topical [Aug 12].

[Meanwhile, as reported by our correspondent in Larkana,] the Pakistan Muslim League under the leadership of Quaid-i-Azam created Pakistan and the same organisation was making Pakistan a true welfare state under the leadership of President Mohammad Ayub Khan. The Muslim League commands the respect and regard of many selfless and honest workers and as such it is in a position to deliver the goods as compared to other parties, said West Pakistan Home Minister Kazi Fazlullah while addressing a big public meeting held under the presidentship of Mr Mohammad Ayub Khuhro at Jinnah Bagh, Larkana.

Kazi Fazlullah said that the programme of the Pakistan Democratic Movement was similar to the Six-Point Plan of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman which means disintegration and separation of East Pakistan. He observed that Pakistan Muslim League was the only party which binds both wings of the country together and can ensure a bright future for the country.
