KARACHI: Olympian shooter Khurram Inam, Uzair Ahmed and Rubab Ali shone in different categories as Pakistan Navy enhanced its gold medal tally to 22 on the penultimate day of the Parvez Abbasi Open Shooting Championship at the PN Shooting Range, Karsaz, on Saturday.

The Navy, who fetched 13 golds on the opening day, added nine more to lead the table with 22-23-13 as 14 finals in men’s, women’s, juniors and youth were decided on day two.

As many as 16 more finals will be decided on Sunday.

Having represented the country in three Olympics, Inam helped his team Sindh clinch the gold in Skeet Olympic team event. Ahmed Sultan, who annexed the gold in the individual category of the same event, and Amin Karamat who took the bronze, were the other two members of the Sindh team.

International Ahmed lived up to his reputation by claiming a gold in Air Pistol men’s individual.

15-year-old Rubab Ali clinched her maiden gold medal in Air Pistol Youth women’s.
