KARACHI: Continuing from where they have left the other day, both the Pakistan teams – 1 and 2 – ensured gold and a silver medal by making it to the final of the IBSF Team Event Snooker Championship in the Egyptian city of Hurgadha on Wednesday evening.

Pakistan 1 outplayed second seed Wales straight 4-0 (67-59, 95-0, 65-52, 65-48) and following their footsteps the second string defeated Ireland by the identical scoreline of 4-0 (86-4, 109-31, 63-50, 95-71) to make the title clash an all-Pakistan affair.

Pakistan had already grabbed a bronze in the 6-Reds event courtesy Babar Masih.

The final between Pakistan 1 and 2 was in progress at the time of filing this report.
