PESHAWAR: Proper use of funds urged

PESHAWAR, Oct 13: District Nazim Lower Dir, Dr Mohammad Yaqub has said that all possible steps will be taken to spend provincial government funds of Rs23 million under the Khushal Pakistan Programme in a judicious manner.

He was presiding over a meeting of Khushal Pakistan Programme at Timergara on Saturday. The meeting was also attended by Naib Nazim and in charge District Support Team Major Azhar Mahmood.

Dr Yaqub said, embezzlement of funds was a sin and those who have been involved in such deeds will be punished.

He said, various inspection committees comprising the elected representatives were being constituted to check the quality of the development works being carried out in the district under the Khushal Pakistan Programme.

He said, the committees would present their report to the district government for action. He said, all legalities should be completed to start work on Maidan-Kambar Road.—APP
