LAHORE: Within 24 hours the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), for the second time in a month and in a display of incompetency, changed the schedule of the trials.

On Friday, it announced that 116 probables picked from different centres through trials will appear in the second round of the trials at the Johar Hockey Stadium here from August 7 to 9 but they will now appear from August 12 to 14.

“The change in dates has been necessitated because of the non-availability of rooms to accommodate the players at the Johar Town Stadium, Lahore, the venue of the trials, on the original dates,” a PHF press release states.

“The training camp for the players shortlisted after these trials commences from August 15 at the Johar Town Hockey Stadium, Lahore.”

Earlier, the PHF had made changes during holding of the first round of the trials which were to be held in Mardan before being shifted it to Bannu.
