LAHORE, Aug 12: The city district health department has taken preventive steps and provided necessary medicines at its centres to counter the outbreak of seasonal diseases in the city.

EDO (health) Dr Hafiz Abdul claimed on Tuesday that insecticides were being sprayed in 48 union councils on a weekly basis.

Under the immunization programme, he said the health department’s teams were visiting door to door to vaccinate children and women against seven diseases.

He said women were also being administered tetanus injections.
