QUETTA, Aug 12: A Frontier Corps official was killed and five others sustained injuries when a landmine exploded on Sui road in Dera Bugti district on Tuesday.

Police sources in Sui, confirming the incident, said the militiamen were on a routine patrolling when their vehicle hit a landmine.

Naib Sobedar Jamil Ahmed was killed on the spot and Hamayun Khan, Khalid Mahmood, Mohammad Sher, Sakhawat Shah and driver Fida Mohammad were injured.

The injured were admitted to the hospital.
