KARACHI: Rana Club notched up a thrilling 4-3 victory over the Airport Club in the final to win the Baldia Inter-club hockey tournament at the Baldia ground on Saturday.

Aqib Ahmed struck two goals while Nazakat Ali and Mohammad Shaukat slammed one apiece for the winners.

Tasleem Usmani, Wahab Mazari and Shujat Khan netted one goal each for the losers.

In the preceding semi-finals, Rana Club carved out 3-2 victory over the AO Club while Airport Club was home 4-2 over the Baldia Club.

The final was delayed due to the rain and being far flung.

Retired Brig Yousuf Baig, who graced the final, awarded the winners and runners-up trophies besides other awards.

Mohammad Shahzaib Khan and Nazakat Ali won the best player and top scorer awards.
