LARKANA: A man allegedly axed to death his father in Noor Colony within the jurisdiction of the Kanga police station in Larkana on Sunday.

Lal Khatoon, the wife of deceased Waris Ali Jagirani, 45, told the police that her son, Asif Jagirani, was fed up with the arguments between her and her husband over domestic issues. She said Asif attacked his father with an axe in fit of anger.

Personnel from the nearby post of the Waleed police station went to the crime scene and shifted critically injured Waris to the Chandka Medical College Hospital but he could not survive.

Kanga police later picked up Asif and started an investigation. The body of Waris was handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination at the hospital.
