COLOMBO: Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have agreed to sign a Free Trade Agreement before the end of this year.
A statement, issued here on Saturday at the end of Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena’s three-day state visit to Bangladesh, said fourteen MoUs were signed between the two countries during the visit that will lead to the signing of a Free Trade Agreement before year end.
“Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina and Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena agreed to work together to take forward and facilitate the movement of citizens of both countries in a mutually beneficial manner,” the statement said.
