HYDERABAD, Aug 10: People’s Party Parliamentarians MNA Nawab Abdul Ghani Talpur has criticized the Kotri taluka police for implicating people in false cases.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, he accused the police of misusing power.

The MNA said the people were feeling insecure and alleged that the Sann police station SHO was victimizing supporters of opposition leaders.

He demanded that the Sindh inspector general of police should take action against police officers who were misusing their power and ensure justice to people.

He further demanded that honest police officers should be appointed in the Kotri taluka and open kutchehries should be held to redress grievances of the people.

SAZDA: The Sazda Staff Action Committee has demanded that the authority should pay its employees their three-month salaries.

In a joint statement issued here on Sunday, action committee leaders Zafar Ali Solangi, Syed Zulfiqar Shah and Agha Masood said the former chief minister, the incumbent chief minister and the Sindh cabinet had approved a summary to accommodate Sindh Arid Zone Development Authority employees in different departments but the orders were not implemented.

They warned that if the dues of the employees were not paid they would held protest demonstrations throughout Sindh.

COMPENSATION: The Sindh Minister for Local Bodies, Mohammad Hussain Khan, during his visit of Latifabad the other day called upon the Nazims of union councils to prepare a comprehensive report about the loss of life and property in Latifabad so that compensation could be paid to the affected people.

He said that relief committees had also been constituted. He said he had appealed to the federal government to assess the magnitude of destruction and announce a special package.
