KARACHI, Jan 4: The Export Promotion Bureau has been actively pursuing Saudi Arabia and UAE to lift the ban on export of meat from Pakistan.

According to the EPB here on Friday, the authorities concerned in UAE had been extended an invitation through Pakistani Embassy to visit and inspect the procedure involved in meat export.

The UAE government had accepted the invitation, but the events of September 11, delayed the visit of the team to Pakistan. The team will now visit in near future.

Similarly, Pakistani mission in Riyadh is pursuing the matter with the Saudi government. The EPB is also coordinating with the Ministry of Food for the removal of this ban.—APP
