WASHINGTON: US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has urged Qatar’s neighbours to make their demands “reasonable and actionable”.

Observers in Washington say that the demands are so far reaching it would be difficult for Qatar to comply.

Secretary Tillerson noted that Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emiratis, Egypt, and Bahrain jointly prepared the demands and hoped for those to “be reasonable and actionable.”

“We support the Kuwaiti mediation effort and look forward to this matter moving toward a resolution,” he said.
