Pakistanis will take a stroll down memory lane with the launch of the much-loved Nokia 3310 on Friday.

The phone, which is being released by HMD Global in partnership with Jazz, will be delivered to distributors tomorrow, and will be made available to consumers within the next two to three days, according to a press release.

The Nokia 3310 is priced at 49 Euros in Europe and local users can expect its price in Pakistan to be around the same amount, at approximately Rs5,700.

The original Nokia 3310, considered legendary for its hardiness, was rugged handset with a battery life lasting weeks and a total of 126 million units sold worldwide.

The new 3310 uses a 1,200 mAh battery with a 31-day standby time according to Nokia. It will also come with a brand new revamped Snake game, which many users of the older handset spent hours playing in their youth.

The HMD Global country head in Pakistan, Kamran Khan, said the company had decided to release the phone in Pakistan after seeing how excited Pakistani consumers were following the announcement of the phone at the Mobile World Congress in February 2017.
