PESHAWAR: The Nazim Peshawar Ramzan Floodlight Hockey League will commence on June 14 under the aegis of Youth Gleam and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hockey Association at the Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium.

This was stated by KP Hockey Association secretary Syed Zahir Shah while talking to the media here on Thursday at the Qayyum Sports Complex after inspecting floodlight polls installed inside the Lala Ayub Hockey Stadium. Youth Gleam chairman Gul Haider and member organizing committee among others were also present.

A total of five teams will be taking part in the hockey league to be played under the lights for the first time with Ghantagar Zalmi, Hayatabad Taryalay, Khisakhwani Darwash, Islamia College Stoori, and Bala Hisar Baryalay vying for top honors.

International players like Yasir Islam, Syed Zia-ur-Rehman Binori, Mohammad Zahid, Mohammad Sami, Waqas Khan, Afsar, Amir Hama, Said Shah, Haroon Khan will also be part of the event.
