GUJRANWALA, Aug 5: An anti-terrorism court remanded on Tuesday Sialkot jail superintendent in police custody till Aug 15.

Superintendent Sikandar Hayat was produced in the Gujranwala anti-terrorism court by the Sialkot Cantt police amid tight security.

He escaped after the July 25 jail shootout when the Punjab government directed police authorities to register a case against him. However, he was arrested by the police.

Our Sialkot correspondent adds: The Sialkot Civil Lines police got 10-day physical remand of assistant superintendent of jail Chaudhry Akhtar Iqbal.They will be produced before the court on Aug 15.
