MARDAN: Lawyers observed boycott of courts after a prominent advocate was gunned down by relatives in Nawakaly Turo area over a land dispute here on Monday.

While lodging FIR with Sheikh Maltoon Town police station, Jan Alam Khan, brother of the victim, told police that his brother, Zaib Alam Khan Advocate, was on his way to Mardan courts when his maternal uncle, Malik Fayaz Ahmad along with his son Malik Azam opened indiscriminate fire, killing the lawyer on the spot.

Personnel of Recue-1122 shifted boy of the lawyer to Mardan Medical Complex Hospital where the doctors handed it over to heirs after conducting postmortem on it.

The complainant confirmed that they had a dispute with their maternal uncle over a piece of land which led to the killing of his brother.
