THE Motorway Police have announced that in order to facilitate road users and to ease traffic congestion in the city during the holy month it will allow traffic to run on the Lyari Expressway from Mauripur to Sohrab Goth from 4pm to 8pm.

It seems that the motorway police is unaware of the office timings during Ramazan. Almost all banks and private offices observe office timings from 8am to 2pm.

Why should a person wait in his office for another two hours to avail the facility offered by the motorway police? The timing should actually be from 2pm to 8pm if the motorway police want to facilitate the public.

Last year the timings were from 2pm and were of great help to commuters and helped reduce traffic congestion and jams.
