KARACHI: Chief Justice of the Sindh High Court Ahmed Ali M. Shaikh on Tuesday directed all the district and sessions judges across the province to hold meetings with respective deputy commissioners and other stakeholders for effective enforcement of price control laws to check illegal price hike and hoarding of essential commodities before the upcoming month of Ramazan.

According to SHC Registrar Ghulam Rasool Samoo, it has been observed that the prices of almost all the essential commodities have considerably increased before Ramazan and the “role of district administration seems to have weakened in controlling the illegal price hike and hoarding of essential commodities”.
