Faysal Bank names new CEO

KARACHI: Faysal Bank Ltd (FBL) has appointed Yousaf Hussain as the acting chief executive with immediate effect, it said in a press release issued on Tuesday.

Farooq Rahmatullah Khan, the chairman of FBL’s board of directors, said: “The board has also inducted three independent directors, namely Fuad Azim Hashmi, Mian Mohammad Younus and Ali Munir.”

‘IT is base of growth and development’

KARACHI: Dell EMC has extended its wave of new innovations, announced in Las Vegas early this month, to Pakistan, serving a specific and meaningful role towards helping enterprises realise their goals for digital transformation, said a press release issued on Tuesday.

“We live in the world of globalisation where Information and technology is the base of growth and development,” said Chee Wei Chue, Dell’s vice-president for Asian Emerging Markets Region.

Naveed Siraj, General Manager at Dell EMC, said: “There is tremendous potential in the [Pakistani] market and with the increasing economic momentum and stability in the country, it is imperative that customers reassess their infrastructure transformation needs.”

MCB Bank, CSD sign MoU for Ramazan

KARACHI: MCB Bank has entered into an alliance with Canteen Stores Department (CSD) for special discounts and product promotions during Ramazan, a press release said on Tuesday.

Holders of MCB Bank debit and credit cards will be able to avail special discounts, complimentary beverages and gift vouchers on every transaction made at CSD stores nationwide, it added.
