DERA MURAD JAMALI: Two people died and five others fell unconscious after inhaling poisonous gas while working inside a well in the Gandawah area of Jhal Magsi district on Monday.

Levies officials said that the seven men were cleaning the well which had not been in use for a long time. They said they fell unconscious soon after being lowered into the well.

Sources said that Levies personnel with the help of local people took the seven men out of the well and took them to the district hospital. Two of them died before reaching the hospital and the five others were admitted.

Doctors at the hospital said that the victims had inhaled poisonous gas in the well.

The deceased were identified as Allah Bakhsh and Mohammad Yaqoob.
