Swimming pools

Published May 22, 2017

IN Khairpur Mir’s, hundreds of people go to swimming pools daily for a dip. However, pool owners are not serious about changing the water to ensure cleanliness of the swimming pools. Thus swimming pools serve as a source of diseases and infections, one of which is Naegleria Fowleri, commonly called brain-eating amoeba, which enters brain through the nose of the victim.

Last year there have been reports of such cases reported in Khairpur Mir’s.

The authorities concerned should look into the problem and ensure that all swimming pools are periodically cleaned and disinfected.
