Dawn cartoon

Published May 19, 2017

THIS is apropos Penpricks (May 16). This shows how little the cartoonist is aware of the country’s highest examination system. The cartoon constitutes a humiliation of thousands of CSS aspirants besides bureaucrats recruited through the CSS exams.

It seems the cartoon was referring to last year’s results, but he should know that no single exam can truly measure the intelligence, skills and potential of a candidate. As for the results, there were many factors which the cartoonist seemed to have failed to understand. The people preparing for the CSS exams are the cream of society and deserve respect.

The cartoonist must apologise to CSS aspirants, who read Dawn daily and are trying hard to achieve their aim.
