KHAR: All Bajaur Political Parties Alliance here on Thursday showed its grave concern over the federal government’s decision to delay the legislation for Fata reforms in the National Assembly and announced to launch a protest movement if the reforms were not approved before the budget session.

In this connection, an emergency meeting of the alliance was held with its president Qari Abdul Majeed in the chair.

Leaders and representatives of various political and religious parties attended the meeting to discuss a future course of action against the government. All participants of the meeting, including representatives of PML-N, criticised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for ordering the federal ministers and ruling party lawmakers to delay the Fata reforms bill on the request of only two anti-reforms politicians.

They said that the decision to delay legislation for reforms process by the government had disappointed the tribal people.

PML-N local chapter president Rahat Yousaf and general secretary Gul Kareem flayed the federal government for delaying the passage of Fata reforms. They feared that almost all workers would leave PML-N if Fata reforms package wasn’t implemented immediately.

The participants criticised the JUI-F and PkMAP leaders for creating hurdles to the reform process. They urged the prime minister to implement Fata reforms without any delay.
