Woman held with Rs10m contraband

SHEIKHUPURA, Aug 2: A woman was arrested with contraband worth Rs10 million Bhalkay village on Saturday evening.

Sheikhupura Saddar CIA received information that an alleged drug pusher, Razia, along with her brother Fiaz, was coming from Rawalpindi to her native village Bhalkay in the jurisdiction of Ferozewala police by train. They got off the train at Kot Mool Chand station. A CIA and police team raided their dera for their arrest. Razia was arrested while Fiaz managed to escape.

Police recovered seven kilograms of hashish, five kgs of opium and three kgs of heroin from her possession.

Sheikhupura DPO Nawaz Warriach told this scribe that the woman had been supplying drugs throughout the Punjab. She had escaped on a number of occasions in the past.
