PESHAWAR, Aug 2: Additional District and Sessions Judge Sabir Khan on Friday issued arrest warrants of 11 police officials for non-appearance in a dacoity case despite repeated summoning by the court.

The police officials, including SHO Fazal Mohammad Khan, ASIs Rahim Shah, Shah Wali, Mirza Khan, Rahim Dad, and CIA ASIs Noor Mohammad and Mohammad Nawaz, were required by the court in a dacoity case of accused Sadiqullah.

The West Cantonment police had registered the case on July 1, 1999.

After repeated violation of the court’s orders by the officials, the judge issued non-bailable warrants for their arrest.

JUDGMENT RESERVED: An accountability court here on Friday reserved its judgment till Aug 8 in the Abdullah Jan case.

The prosecution had submitted an application before the court that the accused operated three separate bank accounts in Nowshera, adding that these accounts had not been mentioned in the case. It argued that these accounts should also be considered before any decision was taken by the court.—APP
