KARACHI: A young man and a girl were found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Mehmoodabad area on Saturday night, according to police and hospital officials.

The bodies were found in a car parked at a garage near Naz Biryani centre in Liaquat Ashraf Colony, said Mehmoodabad DSP Shafqat Chandio.

The man was identified as Rashid Ali, 40, a resident of E-Market in the PECHS. However, the identity of the girl could not be immediately ascertained.

Ali’s brothers told the police that he had left home on Saturday morning.

They said Ali was unmarried and expressed ignorance about the girl’s identity.

The bodies were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.

Dr Seemin Jamali, executive director of the hospital, told Dawn that apparently there were no injury marks on the bodies.
