KARACHI: Most parts of the province continued to experience extreme weather conditions on Tuesday, as the mercury shot to 44 degrees Celsius in Larkana making it the hottest place in Sindh.

Officials in the Pakistan Meteorological Department said that the situation in Karachi was comparatively better as breeze blowing from the Arabian Sea brought the temperature down to 35.5 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.

The maximum and minimum temperature recorded in Karachi on Tuesday was 36 and 26.5 degrees Celsius with humidity at 45 per cent.

They said that the weather on Wednesday was expected to remain fair/partly cloudy and maximum temperature was expected to range between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius.

About the rest of Sindh, the officials said that most parts of the province remained in the grip of a continental heatwave and many of its towns and cities experienced high temperatures.
